Stocksy is a "multi-stakeholder co-op." This means there are different stakeholders and therefore different classes of shares. Every share is the same, but each group has different amounts of shares per group. Stocksy United has three membership classes:
CLASS A: Class A is made up of advisors to Stocksy, and all Class A members serve on Stocksy’s Board of Directors.
CLASS B: Class B is made up of Stocksy’s full-time staff members who contribute to the execution and operation of Stocksy.
CLASS C: Class C is made up of our roster of contributing artists who contribute their work to the Stocksy collection.
Some members may hold membership status in more than one membership class (for example: a full-time staff member (Class B) may also be a contributing artist (Class C)).
Regardless of the number of shares owned or multi-class membership, each member is on equal standing and has only a single vote: 1 member = 1 vote.
Current membership counts as of July 2022 are:
- Class A = 5 members
- Class B = 56 members
- Class C = approx. 1800 members
