What is a platform cooperative?

Stocksy United is categorized as a multi-stakeholder member-owned platform cooperative.

A platform cooperative (co-op) is a cooperatively owned and democratically governed business that uses technology (eg. website and/or mobile app) to sell goods and deliver member services. Stocksy hosts a members-only space within Stocksy.com to provide our members with the services and benefits they need to succeed as co-op members.

Stocksy's platform offers a members-only portal where co-op members can regularly engage and connect with everything related to co-ownership.

The main space for co-op members to engage and interact with one another. Stocksy's forums are divided into six main categories with numerous threads found within.

This is Stocksy's internal member-only blog. Here, members can find regular co-op updates, creative briefs, webinars, content updates, resources, and more.

Stocksy's main portal for co-op governance. Here, members can submit and vote on ideas and resolutions to better Stocksy United's future. Read more about our innovative resolution process here.

The who's who list of co-op members. It's organized alphabetically by stakeholder class so members can easily find and connect with fellow members.

MONTHLY STATISTICS

Automatically refreshed on the first of every month, our monthly statistics page gives co-owners transparent and real-time data about our co-op finances.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

Stocksy's help center and FAQ database. Here, anyone can search and find answers to questions about Stocksy, including member topics related to production, working in the Image Manager, and using their member account.

CREATIVE BRIEFS

Our brief directory houses all of our educational resources related to producing content at Stocksy. Here, members can browse past briefs, view active collection needs by subject area, explore style guides, view collection data and client wishlists, sign up for upcoming webinars, and more.
