Unless you're lucky enough to get a property release, all logos, branding, and trademarks must be removed from photos and videos (including ungraded clips) before submission.
You can submit your content as a preselect if you want us to review it before doing the work to remove logos in post-production.
How to Remove Logos
We suggest you do as much as possible to avoid logos in-camera. When that isn't possible, you must remove them in post-production software.
For video content, you can see our guidelines on logo removal.
Please be aware that we don't accept content where generative AI has been used, even for logo removal. You'll have to use the old-fashioned patch, clone, healing brush, etc. tools.
Common Things that Need to be Removed
Technology
- Edit laptop and device screens to remove icons and other recognizable design elements.
- Apple laptops and keyboards need the command key removed (the command or cmd and the icon).
Clothing & Shoes
- Many casual and athletic shoes have a design element tied to the company’s branding. Popular examples include the Vans stripe, Pony check, Converse star, or Asics logo. You need to remove these before uploading.
- Remove the Levi’s red tab from jeans & jackets.
- Three stripes are an Adidas trademark and need to be altered on clothing, shoes, handbags, etc. (even if the clothing is not officially Adidas). You can remove one, two, or three stripes or add some—any number but three.
- Branding is often hidden in buttons. Please check your uploads at 100% zoom, and if branding is visible in the buttons, they will need to be edited.
- Most glasses have a small logo on the arm, and others (like Ray-Bans) have a logo on the lens. These must be removed.
