You are welcome to use Stocksy's industry-standard model or property release. They can be found in Image Manager by clicking "View Resources" in the top left, or you can download them right here:
Can I alter Stocksy's releases?
We recommend that you not alter the legal terms, but you're welcome to replace the header with your own logo.
Can I use my own model or property release?
We accept any model release as long as it includes all of the necessary information and the legal text is comparable to that of the Stocksy release.
We’ve seen some release templates that have the model granting copyright to the photographer. This is NOT correct, and you should not use releases featuring this language.
If you prefer to use your own model release, consider sending it to us for review before using it. If you use a release that does not contain the same legal rights as the Stocksy release, it will need to be revised and signed again.
Can I use releases from other agencies?
We accept standard releases from other stock agencies (even if it has their logo on it) as long as the release does not grant that agency any rights to the content.
Releases from other major stock agencies are acceptable and preferred over those you create yourself.
Non-English Releases
We accept non-English standard releases from major stock agencies. Please provide an English translation of the model, artist, and series information for our reference. (You can do this after the model has signed.)
