Creating a Quote
You can turn any cart into a formal quote — a written price offer you can save, download, and share with whoever needs to approve it. This is useful when you need a PDF for a purchase order, a budget approval, or a client sign-off before you buy.
What a quote is
A quote captures exactly what's in your cart at the moment you create it: the assets, the license types, the price, the tax, and the currency exchange rate. All of it is locked in.
Your quote is valid for 30 days. The price you're quoted today is the price you pay when you come back to buy, even if rates or pricing change in the meantime.
How to create a quote
- Build your cart as normal. Add the assets and choose the licenses you need.
- Click Create Quote. You'll find this button in your cart and at the Information and Payment steps of checkout.
- Enter your billing details and choose your currency. These are the same forms you'd use at checkout, so nothing extra to learn.
- Click Save Quote. That's it — your quote is created immediately.
Once saved, you'll land on a confirmation page with a Download PDF button and a link back to your cart.
Your quote by email
We'll email you a copy right away, with the subject line "Your Stocksy Quote is Ready" and a direct download link. Keep that email — it's the easiest way back to your quote.
If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder before getting in touch.
Accepting a quote
There's no button to formally accept a quote. When you're ready to move forward, reply to your quote email or contact us and we'll take it from there.
Two things to know:
- A quote isn't an order. Saving a quote doesn't reserve the assets or charge you anything. You'll still complete the purchase through checkout.
- We won't remind you before it expires. If your quote lapses after 30 days, just create a new one or get in touch and we'll refresh it for you.
Quotes prepared for you by our team
If you've been working with someone at Stocksy, they may build a quote on your behalf and send you the PDF directly. These quotes work exactly the same way — same 30-day validity, same locked-in pricing.
Quotes prepared this way are sent to you personally rather than automatically, so if you're expecting one and haven't received it, reach out to the person you've been working with.
Team accounts
If you're part of a team, the customer details on your quote will show your team owner's information rather than your own. The quote is still yours to use — this only affects how the billing details are displayed.
Need help?
If something on your quote doesn't look right, or you need it adjusted — different licenses, a longer validity window, a change to the assets — contact us and we'll sort it out, support@stocksy.com
