After you submit your content for review, it enters “the queue,” where our Editors will review it for addition to Stocksy’s collection.
How long does it take for Stocksy to review content?
We review most content in under 72 hours, prioritizing content that has been waiting longest, finished preselects, and sendbacks that contributors have resubmitted.
Sometimes you might notice that part of your series takes longer to move through the queue. This could be for many reasons, including team discussions or Legal checks.
How do the Editors work?
Once in the queue, a Senior Editor will assign your series to an Editor according to the team’s overall workload and each Editor’s availability or area of expertise. For example, some Editors focus more on video, while others have more experience dealing with scanned film or illustrations. In general, all Editors are trained to review a broad range of work to keep the queue moving and the decisions consistent across the team.
After your content has been assigned to an Editor, the same person will follow your series through feedback requests, additional submissions, or sendbacks. We don't accept requests for specific Editors. Please don't submit content multiple times to see if you'll get a different editor.
Stocksy's Editors have constant conversations and collaboration throughout the editing process. We want to make the best calls for both the collection and the individual artist, so in most cases, there has been discussion among the team before content is reviewed.
We love seeing your new content, and we aim to publish as much as possible quickly and efficiently. We do this while ensuring that new content continues to elevate and evolve our collection.
What's next?
Editors will either publish, send back, or decline your content. Read more about what checks are in place to ensure an editor hasn't declined your work by mistake.
If you're not sure why any of these decisions were made, you’re always welcome to request feedback.
