Balancing color from clip to clip is not an easy task when trying to achieve consistency across a series.
The Neighbor Clips split screen view mode in Resolve offers an elegant and efficient way of evaluating your current clip against the immediate ones surrounding it.
- Click on Split Screen view on top of the viewer, and select Neighbor Clips from the option box.
- The upper half of the viewer will show the previous two clips.
- In the bottom left, you'll see the active clip you’re currently grading
- The lower right corner displays the next clip
The active clip is surrounded by a grey outline. You can switch the outline on or off from the options menu at the top of the viewer.
From the User Preferences in the Color panel, you can select the number of neighbor clips displayed in the viewer (1-3).
