Why is accurate metadata important?

As Stocksy co-owners, we must do our part to create the best experience possible for our buyers. Our clients look to us to provide correct information about the content they can purchase at Stocksy. While we can't guarantee all the information on every asset, we aim to be as accurate as possible for many reasons: 

• Customers want to find content as quickly as possible. Digging through pages of irrelevant results is a bad search experience.
• Relying on inaccurate information can cause issues for our clients, making them look unprofessional or causing them to be out of compliance with legal or ethical requirements in their industries.  
• High-quality metadata reflects the premium and curated nature of our platform.

Stocksy uses all contributor-supplied metadata, along with information from various machine learning models and site data, to generate search results and calculate search order, so the information we can control must be complete and, above all else, accurate.
