Unlike the Territory facet, which indicates the country you were in when you created the content, keywords, titles, and descriptions should describe what you can see in the content. When relevant and accurate, make sure to add the continent, country, province/state, city, and more specifics (neighborhood, park, place name, etc.).
If you're using AI tools or outsourcing your metadata to a service, please review for accuracy because these tools and services often make mistakes.
You should only have multiple locations in your metadata when you can see evidence of multiple locations in the content–think a video of someone crossing a border or a photo of signage (like above). Otherwise, a place cannot be the Maldives and the Caribbean, the Arctic and Antarctica, Europe and North America, etc. Please remember that accurate metadata is important to our clients.
Assets without visible location context (like studio portraits, still life, etc.) should not have location keywords.
